UC Berkeley's research team has used functional medical resonance to create a visual representation representing what our brain would see when we watch tv or a movie. The scientists showed random clips to subjects and measured the cerebral activity's response. Currently, this has only worked on images the subject has seen but researchers hope to contract images from dreams and memories.
How can this be useful?
It can help doctors see what patients are thinking if they are mentally impaired, had a stroke, or have neurologic failure. Pretty awesome right?
